The GS1 Malaysia Supply Chain Summit 2016 with the theme “Enriching Consumer Lifestyle” was held on November 10, 2016 at Concorde Shah Alam Hotel. The Summit brings together 3 very important topics, Food Safety, Healthcare and Omni channel.

This year’s Summit was aimed at providing fresh perspectives and insights in addressing the challenges of product safety and security in the global Supply Chain that arises in food, pharmaceutical and consumer sectors.  Apart from addressing the challenges, inspirational shared learning and innovative solutions based on GS1 standards for track & trace, authentication and recall were featured to critically address the latest issues impacting the sustainability of business and value chain.

GS1 Malaysia has always relentlessly supported and participated in industry collaboration and partnership to broaden and forge long-term industry relationship through strategic and meaningful collaboration to improve efficiency, safety and security in everyday business.

The Supply Chain Summit shared winning strategies and provided participants with innovative ideas and sharpened their competitive edge through meaningful supply chain visibility.

A small exhibition consisted of Solution Providers, e-market place companies and equipment suppliers, was held concurrently with the Summit.

The successful Summit was attended by 200 participants who were manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors from the retail, food and beverage, e-market place and healthcare industries. Retailers and healthcare authorities and other government agencies were also part of the attendees.
