You have become a GS1 Member and received your GS1 GTIN barcode numbers. What's next?
To take full advantage of GS1 unique identifiers, you will first need to label them onto your products. To do so, you will first need to convert them into a medium that is easily readable by electronic scanners, the GS1 Standard-based barcode symbol.
To convert your GS1 Standard-based barcode numbers into GS1 Standard-based barcode symbols, GS1 Malaysia highly recommends that you first approach your product packaging printer, packaging designer or one of GS1 Malaysia's Strategic Alliance Programme partners for assistance.
If they are not able to assist you, GS1 Malaysia has a Barcode Symbol Generation Service, that can help generate your required barcode symbols which you can share with your designer or packaging printer to add to your packaging design.
