Subscription Fee Revision 2024
Kindly be advised that GS1 Malaysia’s annual subscription fee will be revised effective from 1st January 2024. The new annual fees take into account the additional and enhanced services, facilities, platforms developed and offered to members of GS1 Malaysia.
In alignment of GS1’s role in this new retail landscape, GS1 Malaysia would further increase services and competencies to further value add to GS1 system of standard, so that GS1 members companies are ready to meet the challenges of the next decade.
The additional services, value-add facilities and platforms include:
- GS1M Member Product Databank – An online trusted product data repository not limited to trade items (Product Level) but also covers non-retail items (Carton Level) for validation & authentication, accessible through Databank Mobile App and GS1 Malaysia Product Search Portal, enabling brand owners to securely share trusted product and carton information for use in consumer-facing digital channels. Also serves as a backup source of registered product unit and carton unit information.
- GS1 Malaysia Retailer Dashboard – Optimise product visibility and brand awareness which leading online and offline retailers are talking full advantage for their sourcing processes.
- GS1 Malaysia 2D Repository Platform – A basic traceability platform and an online repository of event data captured from 2D barcodes (2D Data Matrix) for product verification and visibility. The platform provides GS1 Members with the experience of a track & trace solution and to showcase the benefits of GS1 Traceability and migrating to 2D barcodes.
- Issuance of GS1 Certificate of Membership (GTIN, GLN, Member Products) to show GS1 Membership status and fulfil regulatory business requirements by countries such as China and Vietnam.
- Barcode Quality Control Program – To fulfil retailer requirements and avoid defective or invalid information decoded for product identification, to meet regulatory compliance and to facilitate cross border trading requirements.
- Barcode Symbol Generator – To ensure your barcode labels are in compliance with GS1 Standards
- Virtual Daily & Weekly Briefings to provide members & customers with the basic overview of GS1 Standards, Keys & Services and how to use them to improve business effectiveness, enable supply chain track & trace for visibility and verification.
- Virtual Industry Focus Forums that provide a 2-hour focused training on topics related to inventory, tracking, identification and regulatory fulfilment.
- In-House Training & Business Consultation are tailored training sessions that focus on a company’s specific needs and requirements on and how to use GS1 Standards & Keys, to assist companies to get the best value from GS1.
- The Member Capacity Building Initiative (in collaboration with FMM Institute) is sponsored by GS1 to enhance your organization and team members with new skill sets.
- Centralised governance platform to validate, verify, authenticate, protection against unauthorized barcode numbers and resellers.
- Global Registry Platform (GRP) – GS1-managed global repository for worldwide validation of product & brand.
- Verified by GS1 (VbG) – digital transformation initiative powered by the GRP to connect products to accurate data for global identity verification.
- Global Membership Directory (GEPIR) – a repository for GS1 licenses for authentication and visibility.
The new fees will take effect in your next billing cycle, starting from July 1st, 2024, as given below:
