You want to export your products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia or Kyrgyzstan? Then you need an EAC certification for your products. This confirms the conformity of your products and goods with the standards and requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Compliance with the applicable quality requirements is documented in the form of the EAC certificate or the EAC declaration.

As of January 1, 2021, new rules for registration of EAC declarations apply. According to the decree of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the submission of a Global Location Number (GLN for short) is now mandatory as per the current status. A Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) can be provided if available. Currently, there is still a transition period until September 1, 2021, during which the GLN can be provided voluntarily. All EAC certificates / declarations issued after September 1, 2021 will then require a GLN.

You can obtain the GLN for your EAC certification from GS1 Malaysia. The global GS1 organization is the only recognized provider of GLNs and GTINs worldwide.
